"The child who fades away" is a no profit short film meaning that everyone worked on it for free and any amount of money we receive (e.g. donations, money prize at a festival etc) will be devolved to charities who fund research on DIPG minus 20% that we'll keep for expenses such as paying the submission fees to submit the short film to festivals, attending festivals etc...
We'll post proof of donations to those charities on our charity website, Facebook page and on our GoFundMe page.

Why we keep 20% of every donation:
For the world to get to know about our short film and for it to bring awareness about this cause we need to make it seen and make people talk about it. Film festivals are a great way - beside the Internet - to show our short film to audiences. Thruth is most of them ask for a submission fee, including those who have large audiences and people in the audience that could help us bring our short film further in its life. We'd love to attend as many festivals as we can, especially those in our areas, because this will allow us to interact with audiences and talk directly with them increasing the chances for them to get involved and wanting to learn more and help. Festivals rarely pay for travel, stays etc for the selected films' directors or cast. Last but not least, publicity. With this kind of film the word "publicity" may not be the right one, but we need websites, newspapers, social media, televisions etc to talk about our short film in order for it to get recognition and to get people involved. 99% of the publicity we get is for free thanks to people kindness and good hearts but it may happen that's worth to pay a fee for our short film to appear on some medias that could help us boost its audience reach. |
